Oysterhead, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead featuring Oteil Burbridge and The String Cheese Incident headline The Peach Music Festival’s 2020 lineup. The Peach Music Festival returns for its ninth annual installment at Montage Mountain in Scranton, Pennsylvania July 2 – 5, 2020.
Supergroup Oysterhead consists of Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio, Primus bassist Les Claypool and The Police drummer Stewart Copeland. The band, who last performed in 2006, will kick off their reunion at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colorado on February 14 and 15.
JRAD will play two sets at Peach with Oteil subbing for bassist Dave Dreiwitz. SCI will also perform a pair of sets at this year’s festival. Additionally, Turkuaz will welcome special guests Jerry Harrison and Adrian Belew for a complete performance of Talking Heads’ Remain In Light album. Harrison is a founding member of Talking Heads and Belew toured with the group during the Remain In Light era. The Peach Music Festival will also host The Slip for what is currently slated to be the trio’s full set in public since 2015.
Rebelution, Umphrey’s McGee, moe., Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Twiddle, Goose, Steel Pulse, Nicole Atkins and Keller Williams are just a few of the other acts aboard for next year’s Peach Festival. Guitarist Billy Strings will serve as the event’s “artist in residence” and will collaborate with many of the festival’s other acts and will play a set of his own. Meanwhile, Oteil will not only perform with JRAD, he’ll also play an Oteil & Friends set featuring Devon Allman and Duane Betts.
