The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival released its full lineup Thursday, Jan. 2, following an afternoon and early evening of playing with fans’ emotions.
The lineup, which includes headliners Rage Against The Machine, Travis Scott and Frank Ocean as well as Thom Yorke and Lana Del Rey went live shortly after 7 p.m. Thursday and fans had a lot of thoughts after a day of waiting.
Fans were largely celebrating the lineup early Thursday night.

Some fans were disappointed that My Chemical Romance, a band rumored to be on the lineup, was not there.

The lineup followed a day of waiting by many expectant fans. Coachella has typically dropped the lineup on Jan. 2 over the last couple of years.

But, waiting isn’t everyone’s specialty… and the fans grew anxious.

Then, shortly before 5:30 p.m., the festival’s official twitter account began tweeting the lineup in bits and pieces, starting with the return of singer-songwriter FKA Twigs.

The festival also tweeted about Rage Against The Machine, which last played Coachella in 2007. The band already posted on social media that there would be dates in Indio on April 10 and 17, which happen to be the Friday nights of the festival at the Empire Polo Club in Indio.

The tweeting continued, with hints that rapper Denzel Curry, rock bands Chicano Batman and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Canadian electronica musician Caribou, DJ duo Duck Sauce, DJ Fatboy Slim and hip hop duo Run The Jewels were also performing. All of those artists were on the lineup once it was release.

Though Coachella tweeted that weekend one of the festival was sold out, weekend two presale was expected to start at 12 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6.
