There was a chill on the Chabad of Irvine’s community menorah lighting on Sunday, Dec. 22.

But that was all part of the fun.

The group hosted “Frozen Chanukah,” featuring the lighting of a giant ice menorah at The District in Tustin to celebrate the first night of the Festival of Lights.

It has already been a busy holiday season for Chabad of Irvine, which previously hosted cookie decorating with seniors and a gelt drop with the fire department.

Later in the week, the Chabad is planning menorah lighting events at the Irvine Spectrum and at an Anaheim Ducks game at the Honda Center.
