Lancaster County art festival named ‘Best East Coast Art Fair’ - PennLive

The Long’s Park Art Festival in Lancaster County has been named Best East Coast Art Fair by the readers of artfaircalendar.com.

This is the second year that the festival has received the award.

The festival is presented annually by the Long’s Park Amphitheater Foundation. It is held during Labor Day weekend and features more than 200 artists who are selected through a competitive juried process, according to the foundation.

The proceeds from the festival support the free Summer Music Series.

According to artfaircalendar.com, “Our Best Art Fair Awards survey process began in October. The survey was shared on our websites, in our email newsletters (to nearly 60,000 subscribers) and Facebook pages. Some art fairs shared the survey with their mailing lists and put it on their Facebook pages, dramatically increasing the number of votes they received.

Participation was high with close to 1,000 nominations received online. We received hundreds of nominations for shows throughout the country and completed surveys from nearly 2000 voters.

Voting was particularly high throughout the Midwest and across the South.”

The deadline to apply for the 2020 Long’s Park Art Festival is March 1.
