Electric Forest music festival sells out in under an hour - mlive.com

ROTHBURY, MI -- The 10th annual Electric Forest music festival sold out within an hour of going on sale on Dec. 6, but hopeful attendees may still have a shot at a wristband, organizers say.

Organizers said those who didn’t get wristbands can access an official exchange that will help them avoid scalpers.

On Twitter, longtime attendees expressed frustration at the increased prices on that exchange, and encouraged one another to wait, saying that prices would go down closer to festival time.

Meanwhile, general admission and camping tickets, which were originally $375, are on unofficial sites going for as high as $1,800.

Electric Forest, which will take place June 25-28, 2020, in Rothbury, is hugely popular among electronic music fans, more than 40,000 of whom flocked to the Double JJ Resort last year for a weekend of music and art.

This year’s headliners are The String Cheese Incident, Bassnectar, Louis The Child, Flume, Major Lazer, Big Gigantic, Diplo and The Disco Biscuits.

Also featured in the lineup are 12th Planet, Big Boi, Big Wild, The Black Madonna, Boys Noize, CloZee, Duke Dumont, Femi Kuti & The Positive Force, G Jones, The Glitch Mob, Gryffin, Keller Williams’ Grateful Grass, Lindsey Stirling, Lotus, Moon Boots (Live), Petit Biscuit, Princess Nokia, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Subtronics, Tchami, YBN Cordae and Zomboy.
